No, it’s not.

A more apt comparison would be if Obama was a cyborg and had a 9mm pistol mounted in his shoulder that would emerge and fire at anyone with a mere thought, and it had to be disabled for safety purposes.

I reply to you because you’re the one that answered. But you’re purely incidental, I actually reply to what you’ve said. That’s perfectly normal, and if you can’t stand it just unsubscribe.

Dude, if you have to unsubscribe, just do it, but don’t prevent me to answer just because you’ve had enough. It’s not like you’re the only one on this thread.

Like the attack of Chrysalis and her minions in Canterlot Wedding?
The story clearly suggest that for no reason the princesses should be prevented to use magic. Because if you put the regularity of the games on one plate of the scale, you have to put the security of all of Equestria on the other.
Now, what weighs the most?

@BigMax
I don’t care to go on an exploratory adventure in the comments, buddy. Besides, this anti-cheat spell happened once, and the arrow turning to ice because of a missed shot very well qualifies as a sinister, ergo a completely unexpected and unpredictable event.

@Jack Kellar
You don’t see why? Seriously?
So depriving the most magical creatures in Equestria of their weapons so they can’t cheat is a reasonable thing to do?
Facts proved it’s not.

Have you even read my previous post?

@burnart
It’s not realy like that.
If you can’t bring a gun to a stadium, it doesn’t mean nobody can bring a gun. In fact, some are even expected to bring a gun - security guards, that is.

The point is that Obama is just a man like any other, but Celestia and the other princesses are not, since they’re the most important stronghold of Equestria’s security. They should never, in any case, be prevented of their magic, because the story quite clearly shows us that anything can happen in any moment, even if you tried hard to make everything safe (Canterlot Wedding, anyone?).

So, the princesses can save Equestria but Obama has no Iron Man armor to wear (not until Google ends its development, of course). But still, I doubt Obama will ever get a patdown when going to a stadium. Also because his guards are armed to the teeth.

@BigMax
not realy, in any just government, even a benevolent monarchy, the laws apply to those in government just as much, if not more so, than it applies to the average citizen. So even if the princesses were entirely above using magic to alter the outcomes (and the likely are), it is still proper for them to be subject to the same rules as other spectators. The lack of authorized security teams is less reasonable, but its equestrian, the lack of worst case scenario planning is what makes the plot of several episodes work.

Amusing that no one has considered the PR angle here:

“Yes ma’am you do need to have your horn sealed. Even Princess Celestia is following this rule.”

Very, no one is above the law and all. Very Celestia.
And the other mares would follow her lead.

Not that that’s said but you are holding a kids show up for serious analysis, this is neither the first nor the last time pony’s in-show ‘logic’ is dubious at best.

You can either not worry about any such matters or let the show collapse in your mind from its ‘flaws’ and cease enjoying it.

Show don’t care its too busy having fun.

@BigMax
The show cuts to them getting out of their seats. To imply that they are about to leap into action. To imply that they are DOING SOMETHING and not just sitting there. To imply that Spike just solves the problem first.

@FairJustice
Because it has a point, actually. There is an inconsistency.
If the princesses could do magic, why didn’t they act? They could easily melt the ice cloud - isn’t Celestia the princess of the sun?
So, the only reasonable explanation is that their magic has been disabled… which isn’t reasonable at all!

Yes, Twilight used magic during the opening. That is, not during the games.
