The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Chinigan O’ Donovan
You know, I can’t believe it took me this long to remember this, but the show does have villains like that. Though it’s underplayed, Flim and Flam seem genuinely close to each other, and they were at least superficially nice to Silver Shill, though whether they were genuinely friends with him or just acting charismatic was never really elaborated on.

It’s the Talisman, an object of power from the movie 9. Takes your soul and uses it to power a machine, or releases it to create more life. If you haven’t seen 9, you should see it.

That is indeed interesting. Oftentimes, the biggest villains are portrayed as ultimately self-serving and will betray so-called “friends”. But, if those villains were close enough to not ever turn on one another like they usually do, that’d provide for an interesting force to reckon with for the protagonists. Know what I mean?

Now that I think more, the show’s setup WOULD be more of a Dormin-like situation. Whereas in 9, the resurrection happens with one soul, in Colossus, Dormin comes back after Wander retrieves about sixteen different parts of him.

I must admit, however, that it’d be equally strange to have an evil villain be brought back by the “forces” of friendship.

It’d be way too dark for MLP, but I can imagine them opening the box, then out of nowhere tendrils of energy suddenly emerge, sucking out the life force of somebody* (like Discord for example), and awakening a slumbering villain.

*Since it’s MLP, they’d come back to life later.

You mean like, all along they were only resurrecting some long-forgotten evil the whole time? Awesome, it’d totally throw everyone for a loop.

On another note, I just realized how similar the Fabrication Machine’s resurrection is to the climax of Shadow of the Colossus.
