Having heard the Black Lagoon dub, I can say I agree with the person who said (I can’t remember who it was) that it and Death Note are easily the two best dubs to have ever come from Ocean. I don’t think FiM is recorded at Ocean, but it is recorded up in Vancouver, so that definitely explains the common talent pool (although I’ve heard most of the recording studios up there are subsidiaries of Ocean, but I dunno how true that is).
 
Also, the Toonami airing seems pretty uncensored to me; just a lot of f-words and various uses of that bleeped out. In fact, having watched the first three episodes both on Hulu and Toonami, that’s the only edit I noticed; and plenty of other salty language flies (especially any and all variations of a certain word that begins with an s and can pertain to fecal matter, including the word itself, obviously).

If only Dean Redman (Dutch) was brought in to do the new Flutterguy voice…

Black Lagoon is full of pony voices which is why its SO much fun to watch the English version
