I do not believe it could now be considered gay. Mostly because, even if Tick Tock is a male, he is now a female in body structure. Therefore Tick Tock must now have an attraction to the Doctor and vice versa because of human (or in this case equine) instinctual attraction to members of the opposite sex. It is not gay if you think about it.
