Agreed, they have nothing in common. Have you read the fic “How all ship fics would really happen”. It’s pokes fun at all the stupid ships the fandom comes up with, it’s really funny.
I don’t like that ship either, less because of never appearing together and more that I think they’re grossly incompatible, but I used it as an example as how ships can get popular despite lacking canon interactions.
I don’t ship Octavia and Vinyl Scratch. In fact I find it almost as annoying as this ship.
As if that’s going to stop people from shipping.
