Just telling the truth is all.
We all know that either one of those two types of tards would have been all up in the writers face if any of the stuff I mentioned had happened.
And it has happened before. If I recall correctly, there was a tard who bitched to the comic writers for having contradicted his/her/its headcanon.
At least they took it well enough, and even joked around about it.
But still, stuff like that shouldn’t happen, which is why I added those “reactions” to my first post, just to poke a bit fun at ’em.
But considering your reply, I must have hit the nail on the head.
Therefore, my suggestion for you would be to go see a proctologist, and maybe get some ointment for that butthurt of yours. ;P
And yes, that final bit was a little crude, for a joke, but I hope you still have some humor left in you and can at least laugh at how ridiculous this all is.
Cheers.
And by doing neither, they instead got “Evil evil evil tards! They are so annoying and whiny and loud! I’m going to show everyone how awful they are by doing the things that make them awful!”
This was of course meant for @PonyPon, just in case somebody didn’t get that.
Though I may be mistaken, as I never really delved into the whole headcanon thing outside of Derpy, The Doctor and Lyra.
Do the two sisters have prevailing fanon anyway? Don’t they have to be popular to get those?
The way I look at it, creating a third sister was the best choice they could go with.
If they gave either of the other Pie sisters a personality that clashes with years of fanon, then you’d have all the tards going “Muh headcanon! Hasbro is trying to ruin it! Now I will bitch to the writer and send angry letters to Meghan McCarthy! Because that will surely help!”
While on the other side, if they decided to run with the popular fanon, then we’d have the other tards going “Pandering! The show is ruined 5ever! Now I will bitch to the writer and send angry letters to Meghan McCarthy! Because that will surely help!”
So yeah, introducing Maud is the best thing they could do, IMO.
Also helps that I’m liking her deadpan attitude already.
True, but it’s also probable that the showrunners are going to rely on knowledge of the book to make the show make sense. That’s probably when when we first see Maud in the show, her reaction is nowhere near as strong as the others. She’s supposed to be stoic.
not entirely accurate. from the sounds of the book, which seems to be canon to the series, they re reserved. its that they got really excited about that party.
The short answer? Why not? It’s not like introducing a new sister will cause a problem.
The long answer: because if they want Pinkie to have a no-nonsense sibling, they can’t use an existing sister. Look at how her original two sisters reacted to her party:
They freaking love it. They needed a new family member who has a more reserved reaction, which her existing family members don’t have. They want a serious and somber character, but as both of Pinkie’s existing siblings are already established as being excitable, they needed a new face.
I’m not complaining, but I am very curious.
Let’s ask the reverse? Why CAN’T they? Why do they have to appeal to fanon?
Maybe once the episode airs, they’ll enlighten us.
Yes.

Doesn’t have to be Goth to be expressionless.
