Ironically the IRL Northern Italy is culturally “similar” to Switzerland. Your description fits more the IRL Southern Italy.

Fluttershy and Japan=both are quiet and love animals.  
Rainbow Dash and America=both are hyper and full of themselves  
Rarity and France=both are classy and flirty  
Applejack and Switzerland=both are fond of saving money and prefer not to take sides in an argument  
Twilight and Austria=both are strict, fussy and try to keep order  
Pinkie Pie and North Italy=both are energetic, loud, childish and have big appetites  
THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE and AWESOME PRUSSIA=both are very hammy, full of themselves and have white hair  
Luna and Germany=both are smart and traditional, but also stubborn and short sighted
