funny.
Who’s grammar?
and this is the truth about your grammar, my dear colleague.
Said every Winner of every major historical importance ever…
It was indeed, although that’s certainly no excuse.
Wasn’t it explicitly stated that Luna was jealous?
I think you mean over Three (Or nearly Four), Years now…
Discord - “Rightful Ruler”? Who’s to say that he didn’t usurp the throne from the real ruler of Equestria? Besides, I doubt anybody cried when that bastard was finally brought down, I think there are only so many times your intestines can be turned into silly string before the joke gets old.
Luna - Ok, now that’s just speculation, there are no indication that Celestia actively betrayed Luna, you’re pulling that assumption straight out of your anus.
Sombra - He’s the only villain that we saw actively cause pain to a large amount of ponies without any convenient excuse.
Chrysalis - She still openly enjoyed the pain that she caused, and in fact, treated the whole “feed her kingdom” thing more as a secondary objective rather than the main reason.
But please, continue villifying Celestia, It’s not like this shit’s been going on for over two years, and some Celestia fans might be getting VERY sick of this shit.
People gotta realize that Chrys had a good goal that she decided to use the most personally satisfying(evil) means she wanted.
Like watering your plants with fresh orphan blood.
As to Luna being evil? Well I’d be pretty upset if my Sister stabbed me in the back too…
Sombra a heartless Monster?! really?! More like an incompetent ouph. But a Monster?! lol no… I’d need to see more of our grimacing laughing boy, to make a definitive call on that one.
As to Chrysalis… She was acting for what was in her, and her swarms interest. So no… Not catching an evil vibe their either…
She said Discord was a bastard, and he was a bastard, she said that Nightmare Moon was Luna gone evil, and she was Luna gone evil, she said that Sombra was a heartless monster, and he was a heartless monster.
I dunno, for somebody who supposedly plays revisionist historian, she sure does seen to be 100% accurate on every account…
But, I still don’t trust her!!!
They’re not pointless at all. What I’m driving at is that absolute rule is not something Celestia has any particular right to possess, that’s all.
Then why have rulers at all? I mean, if by your own words, rulers are pretty much pointless, shouldn’t the whole world just adopt anarchy?
Is that so hard to accept? People are always making the mistaken assumption that a national leader is the cause of all the good or bad that happens in their country, despite the fact that this is obviously not true. They make their contributions, but they are only a very tiny part of a much larger whole.
So in other words, anything good that happened to Equestria under her rule doesn’t count.
Doesn’t matter how she treats them, they defer to her entirely, as I said before.
And as for the “difficulties” you speak of, there have been some, but even if there weren’t, the general functionality of society is not directly attributable to her, considering how “hooves-off” she tends to be.
Anyway, as good as things seem to be, she still isn’t infallible, and she isn’t so far above everyone else that she has an inherent right to rule.
I meant Immortal as in “Immune to old age”.
And considering that Equestria lives in harmony, without any pronounced economic or social difficulties, without any known enemy nations, I don’t think “competence” is one of her failures.
And considering that Celestia will interrupt personal meetings to check with the concerns of local leaders, I think it’s safe to assume that she doesn’t treat their titles like they’re decoration.
Celestia’s not immortal, her competence is hardly above doubt, and she DOES rule unopposed. The only one to directly challenge her in the last thousand years obviously didn’t get anywhere, and the lesser officials defer to Celestia entirely. And since Celestia is not infallible, that does bug me.
Don’t bother, all of the scenarios you described? Already explored. People are obsessed with Evilestia. So much so that you rarely see Herolestia… Or Notcompletelyuselessidiotlestia, for that matter.

Democracy is only the “good” system because it doesn’t leave the people completely powerless if a shithead gets into power. When you have a leader who’s good, competent, and immortal, all government systems are pointless.
Plus, it’s not like Celestia reigns supreme unnoposed, I think the fact that there exist mayors and dukes who have an actual firm say in politics disproves that.
