Nopony ever questioned if the sympathetic link between the two sisters still functioned while Luna was trapped on the moon, possessed by the Nightmare Spirit.
 
Nopony ever asked why Celestia took no lovers during this time, or why she refused to allow anyone to enter her room while she slept.
 
Nopony would believe that Celestia became less and less pony-like every day that her Sister remained tainted and banished from Equestria.
