so? not all dragons have wings, thats just the most commonly known version of dragon.
Well he dosent have wings
no matter what world your from dragons are meat eaters and the only stories about dragons eating gems arent for sustenance but to give them their rock hard scales.
so technically spike is a carnivore but they focus on the gem part cause they cant exactly show him eating animals on a kid show.
as it is theres no rational reason to him eating things like ‘hay fries’, cause his body isnt designed to digest it, unless thats some unexplainable side effect of him bein a magic dragon.
He probably looked in their fridge.
