Horizons for me is this kind of thing, when you like something despite its flaws, and you can’t even say why. Especially first two volumes.  
If I am satisfied, why should I get to the bottom?

She isn’t exactly thrilled to have these upgrades. In fact from what I’ve read so far (I haven’t finished reading the latest chapter) I have the impression it’s leading up Blackjack to losing her mind and becoming the murderous mechanical monster Dues was.
 
But take that theory with a grain of salt. Like I said I haven’t even finished reading the latest chapter yet.
 
It would fit with that whole prophecy thing that the Legate spoke about her fufilling though.

My character has gone through changes too but her changes are justified because of what she went through like getting her leg caught in a trap, taint exposure and recently another trap. But with Blackjack some of her changes just don’t seem necessary.

I don’t approve of her mechanization; However, I must say this art work is well done and deserves an up.

I hate it when a person finds genuinely good media, and hates it simply because they didn’t like the genre to begin with.
 
I.E. Someone who watches an MLP video who hates the show.
 
IMO if someone disagrees with the genre then they should simply not say a thing or vote, instead, simply leave the page it’d save everyone some trouble.

Her power source is also very inefficient and i think she is lacking an emergency reserve power source after the upgrade.

I’m glad I stopped reading this a while ago. It just seemed to drag on without any idea where it was going. There was some much stuff that the story got bloated and way longer than it had any right to be. The original, while long, wasn’t tedious in its length. After a while I found each chapter of this one a slog to get through. And now the protagonist is a red-and-black alicorn. I don’t feel like I’m missing much.

I’m a shameless Horizons fanboi, so I’m probably biased, but the fact that she’s more machine than pony is entirely the point. With every “upgrade,” she’s gotten stronger to the point of being kinda ridiculously OP, but she’s also lost more and more of herself. I mean, look at her now — there’s very little left of the mare who left the Stable. Her virtue may be perseverance, but the question still remains: just how much can she give up?
