There is literally nothing good about Pinkiepony….At all….In the slightest…I have more positive thoughts towards Hitler at this point. At least HE got an entire Nation out of a depression and debt…but you know…He was a major asshole. But he did atleast ONE good thing with his life…Pinkiepony? None…She is utterly USELESS
@DanielTepesKraus
Wow. I thought I was the only one who felt that way when first watching Derpy’s scene in “The Last Roundup”.
@SeraphimDawn
Can one lose something that one never had in the first place?
@DanielTepesKraus
You mean this disclaimer? “Regardless of what you think of this site, personal attacks/ harassment against people with differing opinions is not cool.” That’s probably the most mature reaction I’ve seen to this whole DWM kerfuffle, to be honest.
About the Derpygate issue. “Retarded” cartoon characters were a staple in my childhood shows. Goofy, Dopey, Cosmo, Patrick Star, Ed, etc. If they are allowed with no significant backlashes. What was wrong about Derpy then?
Anti-Derpy people attacked an element in the show, and an element that is almost universally beloved across the entire fandom. They used a very specific argument: That it was offensive because they felt it portrayed special needs people in a negative light. I’ll admit, despite Derpy being one of my absolute favorite characters, the first words out of my mouth during her scene were “Yikes. This will not end well.” They underped the eyes because of iTunes, who removed it from circulation because they felt it was offensive. Her voice was actually changed at the request of Tabitha St. Germain herself, who fucked up and did a boy’s voice for Derpy. People were mostly pissed because Derpy is essentially the OC of the fandom itself, and many people took it quite personally.
Pinkiepony, on the other hand, is attacking a vaguely defined aspect of the fandom, and using a vaguely defined method at best. She didn’t gain any support or change any minds; those people thought the exact same way as her right from day one. Even if she succeeded and POOF all of her “rape culture” vanished from the fandom, that actually wouldn’t have much of an impact on the fandom as a whole, and no impact on the show whatsoever. Ask Molly would be gone, which would suck, but that would sort of be it.
@DanielTepesKraus
>because she’s not going to have even the slightest effect on anything.
Then how did the Derpygate fiasco get through? That was just as ridiculous as DWM and the anti-Derpy people employed a similar tactic as these DWMers use right now…. Oh, Derpygate affected the show, not some fanon comic series. I just don’t want another Derpygate shenanigan to happen, this fandom is just desperate for a way to prevent such from happening again. SJW meddling, is even worse than corporate meddling, IMO. Both are bad.
@SeraphimDawn @SeraphimDawn
She’s a complete loon, pure and simple, and the vast majority of people are too intelligent to fall for it, or don’t give even half a fuck, or both. It’s like the Silent Majority Effect in politics.
As for Tumblr users, the site seems to draw in that kind of people, and that’s not to say there aren’t a lot of great people on there. Tumblr is basically built around the concept of “Here’s a blog! Here’s an opinion! READ IT!” It actually operates on the exact same mentality as 4Chan. I even wrote a paper on it for my year 2. The site’s users thrive on the idea that they have a place to voice their opinions where people will read them. Again, it’s like the Silent Majority Effect: I could go on there and, say, start a Tumblr where I could say things like “Today I tried Hunts brand baked beans. They were delicious, but nobody makes a baked bean like Heinz.” People would read it, I’d get a follower or two, and that would be it.
Now, if I went on there and said “Abortion is murder! Gays marriages should be banned! Drop a bomb on Israel once and for all! Catholicism is the one true faith! I liked Prometheus!” I’d have followers and notes out the ass. Between people who agreed with my opinions, people who disagreed and had to let me know about it, and people who just enjoyed the show, my blog would garner a lot of attention.
When it all boils down to it, there’s nothing we can or should do. There is nothing we can do to stop her, she’ll just keep blogging. There’s nothing we should do, because she’s not going to have even the slightest effect on anything. Here’s her blog summed up in one image:
@SeraphimDawn @SeraphimDawn
True that. I’ve worked with troubled kids who are victims of bullying as part of my schooling, and I’d say a good 80% of them bring it on themselves. Don’t misinterpret me, I’m not saying they deserve what they get, nor am I saying it’s even always their fault (In the interest of fairness, I will admit some do have legitimate mental issues), but that doesn’t change the cold hard fact that most people don’t care. When someone acts that way, they will be bullied for it. Period. It doesn’t even matter if it’s right or wrong, that’s simply how life works.
There’s a couple of the kids I’ve worked with (no names, no details) who are just complete and utter self-serving jack-asses who bring on, are completely at fault for, and deserve every bit of scorn they get from their classmates. And they never learn. They have conditioned themselves into believing they are the innocent victims to such a degree that they actually believe it.
That all being said, Pinkiepony has done the equivalent of painting a huge bulls-eye on her chest, and deep down, she thrives on the attention. It’s actually a bit like a drug addiction; She’ll crave and clamor for attention, positive or negative, enjoying every second of it, until it finally adds up and all the repercussions start falling on her.
@Beau Skunky
She doesn’t have as many supporters as she likes to believe, and isn’t having the impact people are crediting to her. Her entire PARC Tumblr is literally 20 or so pages of random rape statistics lifted from other sites, whining about various things they’ve stumbled across, and of course, hate spam. Her entire methodology is to just whine incessantly, get people to sign petitions, hassle other users on Tumblr, and try and get Youtube videos lifted. Pretty much the entirety of her followers are people who already hated bronies to begin with or are self-hating closet bronies like herself (Seriously, hating other bronies and rape jokes, but liking FIM, writing Celestia/Discord shipfics, and drawing tons of MLP art doesn’t make you anything else than a self-hating brony in denial).
Ask yourself an honest question? Has she actually accomplished anything? Let’s break it down:
Her goals:
-Taken down Princess Molestia? No, all he did was add a little disclaimer.
-Taken down Button Mash? No, Mayde upped a new video five days ago.
-Stopped rape jokes? No, I’ve noticed an increase in such jokes because of her.
-Stopped rape depiction? No, but you be the judge. (NSFW)
Impact on this site:
-A few artists blacklisted themselves; no one worth caring about.
-A number of Tumblr artists now avoid Derpibooru. Note that this is good for the site.
-There is a one forum thread about her, currently discussing Transformers.
-Triggered some drama (Typically from the same 10 or so users) with every post. The other 90,000 users ignore them.
Impact on official material:
-One of the artists of the IDW Comics called her out on her reprehensible behavior and essentially told her she was completely full of crap. I can’t find the pic, but it is amazing.
Impact on the fandom:
-Stirred some drama. Just like Twilicorn, just like EG, just like Derpygate, etc etc lather rinse repeat.
-Uh, I haven’t noticed us getting any more hate than usual.
@Background Pony #BA83
Ironically, those people think it’s ok to lynch J.J., (and keep spreading rumors that his blog trivializes/promotes “rape”) but apparently we can’t criticize P.P.‘s behavior at all, otherwise we’re “cyber-bullies.”
The doxing was actually a bad idea, and overkill. (That’s the only thing I will stand up for P.P., even if she is annoying.)
Also, it backfired (like I said it would) as it seems to be garnering more sympathy, and support for P.P., and turning more tumblr people against her critics, and against the brony fanbase in general.
@SeraphimDawn
Also its actually pretty funny when the bullies get bullied. Think how people would viewed things if someone gathered together their friends and trouble makers and made up lies about a blog ran by a WOMAN. You just know people view things differently.
I don’t approve of Doxing, but this does smell of karma.
@DanielTepesKraus
And of course, the media has the tendency to exaggerate those numbers of people getting bullied on the internet. Not denying that bullying happens on the Net. But still. Be Net smart the same way you’d be street smart.
@DanielTepesKraus
You know what I despise in cases involving people getting bullied. In many cases, the victim gets bullied as a result of them making regrettable choices that could easily be avoided through the use of common sense. And of course, whenever they get hurt or worse… society always seems to favor the victims, and shame the bullies without even considering the fact these people brought it upon themselves.
@SeraphimDawn
I never saw Death Note but the way you described it sounds about right. The thing is, is no normal person on the net really needs to worry about anonymity. There’s a reason why only a select few get trolled to high hell: 99.999% of the time they did something to either attract the attention of or irk a large group of people. Most people are free to even use their real names online simply because they’re not dick-heads and don’t really need anonymity.
But yeah, the fact that she blatantly smears her name all over her Tumblr and then goes out of her way to try and troll as many people as humanly possible, well, is there a Darwin Award equivalent for someone who seems to be making a very deliberate attempt to end their life via Internet?
@DanielTepesKraus
She herself sort of made it way too easy for the denizens of the net to track her. That is what she gets for attacking and aggravating a large group of people using her REAL NAME.
It’s just like how Light Yagami used the internet for anonymity, but wants to be KNOWN. Known he was, too known that the task teams found him out. Contradictory much? You know, he could’ve succeeded if he wasn’t being a anonymous wannbe attention whore on the net. If I was him, I wouldn’t be announcing my wrath upon the world on the Net. As soon as he did that, the authorities quickly confirmed the disaster to be a work of a person. If it was me, I would leave them thinking it’s a natural force, not a person.
They ain’t drinkin’ much tears from us. Certainly not mine.
Carnage against her?
Just that thought…

Honestly, I do not know.
Tumblr didn’t exist back then.
Those bloody double standards… >_>
She’s a girl, for starters.
I see.
About the Derpygate issue. “Retarded” cartoon characters were a staple in my childhood shows. Goofy, Dopey, Cosmo, Patrick Star, Ed, etc. If they are allowed with no significant backlashes. What was wrong about Derpy then?
They’re not that similar.

So it’s safe to say that most tumblrites, like the rest of the fandom, simply don’t freaking care or are just unaware.
Okay… I thought she lost it before. Now she is REALLY lost it.
She and her lala land.
Oh, Most rule 34 artists still have a friendly relationship with us. R34 is what attracts many to this site.

Statistically that’s one in five of North Americans.
