Pinkie get’s stuck in Dan’s world, has to deal with being human, has to deal with living in a world as crazy as Dan’s is and then DanxPinkie Pie shipping happens.

I know it’s been most of a year since you commented on this picture, Mr. Justice, but I’d just like to say this: your fanfic, combined with this picture, not only introduced to me the idea of just how wonderful Pinkie Pie in our world would be, but encouraged me to keep living in hopes that someday I’d find her; my special somepony. Thanks for being one of the factors that lifted me out of near-suicidal depression.

I’ve wrote Fluttershy being able to get along with Dan, mostly because him turning a 180 and being able to get along with her had more long term humor value than him screaming at her.
 
I noted he can be nice to people if they’re nice him, E.G. Dan Vs. Thanksgiving.
 
He still insults Pinkie, though it’s often more along the lines of pet names than actual anger unless she’s being particularly chatty or air-headed.
 
Really, turning Dan into someone whose mostly nice kinda ruins the appeal of him. And it definitely is a nice dynamic to have the sort of ‘night and day’ back and forth between these two.

Yeah, out of all the mane 6, or even the majority of fictional characters, Pinkie seems like one of the only/few characters who could not only cope with Dan, but maybe soften the edges a bit.
 
Even if Dan still had periods of jerkassery and ill-intentioned pranking, I’d prefer that, because it means he’s not completely out of character, and that there’s still a dynamic and difference in personality between him and Pinkie.

I pretty much can’t imagine Dan not being a jerk, even if he’s decided he’s head-over-heals in love with someone and they reciprocate the feeling.
 
To your point, Pinkie’s also the type who could put up with that so long as whoever she was with was fun to be around.

See, this could be one of the reasons why people like this ship. You’d think that Dan would be to jaded to work with Pinkie…
 
And you’d probably be right.
 
But what’s the appeal of a character who’s a hugely angry jerk, who finds happiness with a person who’s happiness is pretty much indomitable.
 
Pretty damn big, that’s what.
 
I’m personally content with the idea of Dan being more Tsundere-y. He has moments like in this image, and still finds ways to be the biggest comedic asshole, like with that Fluffle Puff tumlr.

This is pretty much exactly how I write them.
 
Though, Pinkie often gets sucked into some crazy scheme or another.
 
It’s simply too much fun to have these two wreck havok time and time again to let Pinkie hold back Dan too much…

i like this crossover ship pinkie really a foil to dan’s anger and i can see over time dan liking her yet still having a temper

Normally, I think this pairing is disturbing, but at least she’s human to here, and it’s a well-drawn pic.
 
I think Dan would find her to perky though. :P
