The comic and the movie were okay, but they can simply tell better stories on FiM.
If nothing else, it took money away from its competitors, and that’s great.
I was ready to be done with this world after the movie, and was blown away by how much better this comic was. Still, I agree with you about moving on. It’s not a good idea for IDW to push their luck with this setting. Lightning in a bottle, and all that then.
I really hope that this is the end of that world, though. I said I’d be done with EqG after the annual, and I can definitely stick to that. There’s nothing in this world I really want to see as much as FiM.
IDW’s got the right idea, I think. This whole world is already screwed beyond belief, let’s just role with whatever gives us the best story.
This whole universe really is just messed up in every way that it’s best not to think about it. Still managed to tell a decent story.

Guys, it’s an Equestria Girls story. I’m pretty sure this high school is in the center of a black hole, considering how warped time and space are in this place.
The thing is that they had canon freshman designs for the counterparts, and a big point was how much they changed in their four years.
Don’t forget Babs Seed as senior.
