I didn’t realize she’d said anything about EqG on 4chan. Granted, what you’re saying doesn’t conflict with what Craig said in the interview quoted above, nor with Lauren’s comment that I quoted earlier.
@Background Pony
From reading all her other tweets and what she’s said on 4chan, I get the impression she knows what EqG is and she isn’t overjoyed by it.
Of course, she’s going to say something like that. It would be extremely unprofessional for her to badmouth the work of the people still on the show; former coworkers whom I’m sure she has a lot of respect for. It would likewise be unprofessional for her to air out any friction she had working for Hasbro out in public.
Personally, I wouldn’t even think of asking Faust to comment on Craig’s interview. That would be really inappropriate.
Word of Faust on Equestria Girls:
“I did not see EQG. I can’t say it’s something I would have done myself, but I’m sure the current show runners did a good job.”

And I could see that the writers are trying to the best of their abilities to work around whatever Hasbro throws at them. Sometimes they just don’t have a choice if it means protecting their jobs.
But if Hasbro wants to the show as an advertisement, then I think they could at least make it good by letting the professional staff team(those who know what the hell they’re doing) work their magic. Those suits need to stop thinking they know how to do things they obviously don’t know how to do.
Honestly, Lauren should have really expected Hasbro to pull this sort of thing. They brought her on board for the series the specific purpose of selling toys.

Or maybe she really hasn’t seen it, yet still has faith in her old crew on the show. Yeah, crazy idea, I know…

Also, keep in mind that without Hasbro’s mandates, Rarity and the CMC would not exist at all.
@PonyPon
They recently edited the article to fix their ‘mistake’.
Yep, it’s right next. OP is a duck.
