Before you flame me like an idiot: Like said before, the meaning of the stamp varies through the shape of it. Retangular means “honest”. I guess opinion varies and should be respected, yes, but I’m overall not fond of many canonXcanon couples in MLP, this being my second biggest pet peeve, the first being Spike&Rarity (the sole couple in MLP to which I’m truly hateful).
Now why I personally don’t like this?
It’s fandom with shipping lust.
I could take him trying to interact with them by making Fluttershy (try to) be a prankster or mismatching the books at Twi’s library, but romance involving Discord is something out of question AND out of character. The incarnation of chaos is not supposed even to be out there in a body causing small pranks, let alone fall in love (which means compromise and bond to one).
And Fluttershy is the Kind one. It means she’s gentle, forgiving and nurturing to anybody. She’d give a chance to Discord, to Nightmare Moon and to Chrysalis. (Not Sombra, he’s the pure drop of evil)
It’s hard to pair Fluttershy.
Should Discord be an ordinary pony, he’d be probably friendzoned by Fluttershy. She’s too troubled to engage in romance - in fact, she’s ironically the most difficult one to pair up. Yes, she is. Because anything will be either clich, out of character or too boring. Fluttershy is kind and timid, therefore hard to open up and any extra attention or kind gestures to her is just you being nice. In the mind of a kind being, being nice is the usual, while the majority of living creatures takes everyone as a gigantic asshole most of time. Also, she suffered bullying at foalhood and was taken as “ugly and skinny Klutzershy”, and it’s not like this got any better when she grew up, so she has issues with males (and this doesn’t always equals “lesbian”).
It’s quite notionless.
Whenever I see couples like Discord with Fluttershy, Spike with Rarity, Sombra and Chrysalis or the like, I have a huge “FUCK LOGIK!” screaming in my head. It gets much worse when they force Twilight as the best mage around to put a spell to make them “more fitting” (i.e. make them become the perfect stallions). Needless to say I puke when seeing their “adorable” offspring…
Now, it’s senseless to argue with me. Don’t come with excuses, motives or the like to convince I’m “wrong”, okay? There’s no stamp against Discord&Fluttershy, so I’m allowed to make one if I want to make MY point.

Hard to say, but it does feature a screencap of that “Keep Calm” Discord episode, where he & Fluttershy started interacting leading to fans starting to ’ship them.
Funny thing is before that ’ship was thought up by fans as “logical,” there was this.

Kinda an old thread, (and as you said, the person’s account is history, so not much point discussing them) but I feel whenever I see somebody on DA who feels the need to make dozens negative stamps, with very few positive ones, they come off as very negative people. Worst part was, when younger people see other DA members do that, they try to emulate it too.
While I do agree with you about the level of defensiveness some people display about their headcanons, I think you’re being overdramatic. Way overdramatic.
I didn’t downvote this because I didn’t want to see it; I downvoted because I disagreed with it. There is a difference. If I wanted to do the former, I would have attempted to take the image down.
That’s how freedom of speech works. This artist is allowed to put up their reasons for hating a particular ship; people are allowed to post in (dis)agreement, or vote accordingly. The people decrying this as pointless have not prevented its existence; ergo, by definition, it has not been censored as you claim.
And by the way, I do love your claims that such downvoting is a form of censorship, when the artist you have tried to defend with such a claim does not permit comments of any kind on their work. How’s that for censorship.
I’m fine with them as “just friends,” but I can’t see them as “lovers” either honestly. Even by crack-‘shipping standards it’s a li’l out there.
Only other thing I agree with this person on is the fanbase is getting to obsessed with ‘shipping. It’s getting as obsessed with it as Sonic-fans, HTF-fans, or Harry Potter-fans.
The mentality that this is “pointless bullshit” is the problem. People have just as much of a valid reason to be proud of something they like as they do to be proud of something they’re against. We’d be living in a segregated and ignorant world if expressing your distaste for something was not allowed and pointless. Honestly, if you really find this to be without purpose, that’s fine, but that does not mean nobody does. Lots of people find joy in seeing that others share their opinions. If you really don’t care then don’t care and go do something else. People standing around saying nobody cares is kind of contradicting itself because they obviously cared enough to take a moment of their time to do something about it.
@Vivo
Because it’s absolutely pointless to even say you don’t like the ship and list out reasons why it’s unrealistic/impossible/ect. Who cares? There are tons of ships I don’t like and there’s absolutely no reason for me to post bullshit like this.
Honestly it’s really shameful to see how people can’t deal with others having negative opinions. It seems like this fandom is plagued with the notion that if you don’t agree with a popular opinion or fanon you’re wrong and if you express any thought against their headcanon’s you’re a troll or a hater.
Honestly there’s thoughts and evidence put into and supporting this opinion on this, and that’s miles more than what other people in this fandom worship as truth. Regardless of whether or not I agree with someone on shipping, I respect that they at least are thinking about things and formulating your own opinion instead of following the train of ‘epic muffin and hand maymays’ that are adored as the most amazing things to grace the community.
Why is it that it’s acceptable to downvote someone’s opinion that hurts nobody into oblivion and label them with negative titles just because they don’t see the same way as another; and yet, people downvoted something normally seen as ‘popular in fanon’ it’d be a bunch of trolls downvoting. People have different opinions, and they’re not always positive. Someone having a negative opinion about something doesn’t mean they’re doing so to cause drama or a hater. There is something out there that everyone dislikes, and if it’s okay to be loud and proud about something something you like, it should be just the same for something you don’t like. The mentality that we should be silent about things we disagree with is on the same grounds of unnecessary censorship and propaganda.
Again, this ship may be kind of cute, but what I think is irrelevant because I’m glad there are still people out there in the fandom, thinking, formulating their own opinions, and expressing them regardless of the inevitable hate storm that they’ll face because it’s not a popular thought, and with that, I’ll give this it’s first, if only, upvote.
@Kegisak
Luna said what I was going to say. Forums are places for opinions. These stamps have no value at all. It’s pointless to use them to advertise the world “Look! I hate X!”. The thing about shipping is that it’s all done just for fun and cute. NONE of these ships (sans RarityxSpike which is more or less official by now) is official. They’re done just for fun. There’s no harm. No ill, no violence. Nothing. Just cute and harmless things. If you don’t like that, fine, but don’t waste storage space, network bandwidth and CPU cycles with these stamps. Derpi doesn’t have to store everything.

You really know the Discord Dramas before it was a tag.
Is this a Fluttercord rant stamp before the ship became popular after S3EP10??

Though, it’s calmed a li’l bit recently on DA.

No, I’m not her. I just upload her stamps. And she is banned on DeviantART anyway.

Sorry, I probably should have broadcasted the sarcasm in that a bit harder.
I agree with you completely, really. This is just screaming into the night.

To see if anybody agrees?
And by “important opinions,” I assume you mean your own?
There’s forums for that.
Because they have very important opinions?
Maybe….I don’t know, I didn’t make this :/
