I had a bad experience with my (former) favorite DeviantArt artist Andrew Dickman before. (The guy who made the “Ivan the Unbearable” cartoon short on Nickelodeon a few years ago.) All I said was he should give a video game another shot, (he stated he was selling it, after playing it only once) then he got really upset, and started acted like I was trying to force him to keep it, and such…
 
I suppose it can be a bit hard to appreciate an artist’s work when they act mean, especially to their fans, or friends… :(
 
Still I have to admit I like Jay’s way of drawing anthro’ ponies, and his MLP comics like this one.

But people don’t typically lose friends because they drew their fursonas cursing up a storm and emptying a pistol into a strawman(fur) of their friends’ political beliefs, steal their friends’ characters, and then deny they had sexual relations with that man.  
He also seems to slack off and draw far less/write less coherently when he’s in his political moods. Check out the pacing of the first 15ish chapters of Better Days vs the run up to the finale. Obama and the liberal gay agenda killed Fisk.

I truly hate this guy with pity, he puts everyone else down just to make himself feel better. And he uses his art to convey that message, i’ll never ever refer to his work to anyone if its the last thing i do. No one else needs to see his political bullshit.

But the thing is

People lose friends because of their unwillingness to change beliefs all the time, it’s called HAVING DIFFERENT OPINIONS.

The problem is that you got to know too much about him, Impious. Now you can’t enjoy his art anymore.

I know a lot of people who are colossal fuckwits. They are my friends, just the same. And it always irks me when people will ignore the good people do just because they think the person who did it is a titanic pile of donkey dicks. I don’t know Naylor, but I bet he has some friends who feel the same about it.

Naylor’s art is pretty much consistently good and often great. When he does comics, it’s typically well done and nicely paced. Generally like a fair amount of his stuff.
