From what I’ve heard, it’s the depth and complexity compared to a lot of modern games (something I wont argue against).
Ok.
Because I heard everybody gush about how fantastic and awesome this game is, yet when I try to play it, all I see is a primitive shooter with annoying mechanics and bad RPG Elements.
Seriously, where’s the brilliance that people keep telling me this game has plenty of?
They were poorly balanced and not very well implemented. I think everyone’s in agreement about that.
The ADAOB mod improves things a LOT in that department, although Psi skills are still sort of questionable.
That’s the main reason I preferred SS1.
…What was the point of the RPG elements in System Shock 2?
I was not expecting that, good sir.
