i love you for this and only this
Bit late for that comment; been made twice on the thread already.
You know, Equestrian clocks might have the hour hand longer than the minute hand out of convenience, right?
With those assumptions, this configuration cannot arise from a functional clock. The upper hand can’t be the hour hand, because it’s at an hour marking while the minute hand is away from any of the major markings. The lower hand can’t be the hour hand, because it’s two thirds of the way from one marking to the next, while the other hand being on one of the major markings requires that it be exactly on, quarter past, half past, or quarter to the hour. Conclusion: even if we assume that Equestrian time operates on eight-hour periods, this clock is busted.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go reassess my priorities in life.
It’s ¤ o’clock.
If that’s true, that’s one hell of a genius bonus.
But their times are slightly off. the 8-hour cycles in this case would be 2am to 10am for the morning, 10am to 6pm for the day, and 6pm to 2am for the night.
Damn ninjas.
:ding:
Next question!
it is missing a proper time structure
