I’d be…like, a sisony
yes I know the common term is pegasister
I prefer the noble term of horsefucker.
All this.
Every person I’ve met in the, “I absolutely love MLP FIM, buy toys, go to meets and write fan fiction… but I’m not a brony!” club are absolute asshats.
Of course, it has only been three out of, about, a group of around twenty, but still, no positive impressions there.
Heck, even I agree that the word “brony” itself is kind of silly. That’s not really what I was talking about. I was just criticizing a mentality that I often see.
Considering that I’ve actually written clop I’m not exactly in a position to claim moral superiority to anybody. I just hate the word brony.
What I take issue with is the fact that a lot of the “I’m not a brony; I’m an MLP fan” crowd are dicks who act as though their rejection of them term makes them superior in some way. You can reject the label all you want, but you’re still in the same boat as the rest of us, and if you’re not prepared to deal with the baggage that comes with that - people giving you funny looks, assuming the worst about everything you do, and lumping you in with whatever stereotypes they’ve latched onto - then a simple matter of term-usage will never be anything more than mental masturbation.
This.
This is how I am.
They don’t even have to think of themselves as bronies, but they need not bitch when they’re referred to as one.
