I’m going to speak on 4Chanites so you will understand
>implying that Derpibooru engage on cyberbullying of people who call out frat-level jokes (MandoPedo debacle, anyone ?)
Welcome to the Internet. It sucks, you’re gonna love it.
Baby steps, man. Baby steps.
Yes, since this article doesn’t seem serious at all. And the whole “Dragons level up the show’s manliness” thing is a bit weird. I mean, even I’d think bronies were weird if they thought like they did in the magazine article (some don’t think too much better, but still). I think they’re just stereotyping in the “nice” child appropriate way. It’s stupid, we’re either not recognized seriously, or people just think we’re all creeps.
They did it to join the “pro-brony band wagon”, but they did such a terrible job of it, as the article makes us look more retarded than we actually are, as they failed to see the complexity of the fandom, which is a lot more than just watching technicolor ponies on tv, but being subject to a world full of art, fanimation, and music, which people spend a lot of time creating, and making a career out of doing a good job at it. This is because not many people have actually taken their time to look deeper into the fandom, without judging the fans, long enough to see it from our point of view. When people do articles like this, do they look at the art made by fans by searching DeviantArt, or Derpibooru, or even FurAffinity? Do they watch YouTube videos, or listen to Soundcloud songs? No…they watch the actual show, then judge everything else on that parenthesis. Until someone actually does this, then we’re stuck in the position where big black prisoners wait for us to drop the soap…we’re fucked.
after thinking too much about your comment
NOWHERE SAFE! NOWHERE SAFE!
I have learned something, there is no sane people anywhere, it’a just a matter of how crazy you are.
It’s not just the fandom it’s the whole world.
There are two significant differences though. Derpi has active (and not abusive) moderation and voting system, so you can at least show the ‘cancers’ their place.
The fandom has no sane people anymore. It’s one clusterfuck of insanity.
The only difference between /mlp and Derpibooru is that this is more about the images, not the responses. There is so much /mlp/ cancer here already. All the TwiBrad, MordeTwi/Chickun/Twilicorn/etc drama were all insults to intelligent life. I can’t even consider abstract thought at the moment, just thinking about this. I’m gonna look at something else on this site. All sane people are welcome to join me.
You just said why, we see the ‘drama’ tag and know it’s pointless.
So why have two tags for it?
Please don’t tell me people were using those to promote BronyCon or something.
I hope you’re not being serious about this.
And what’s wrong with trying too hard?
That nobody’s reacting that way ‘cos the article is negative or positive, it’s because what nightweaver said: trying too hard.
And what is the point, exactly?
I kinda like the article though. Again, we’re mostly adult males, that like a show about pastel colored ponies, that thrive off friendship and cupcakes (Dunno if I’m talking about about the ponies or the people at the end there…) I know I don’t like being taken too seriously, because it’s ridiculous! So is this article…
Oh, plus the article is in a kids magazine… Apparently… So there’s that too… You know, kids? The target demographic? The ACTUAL target demographic? Those things? Yea.
