Alright, now I’m curious. So what video would this be, exactly? It can’t be a troll like Rick Satan, because it has too many views; and it can’t be something popular because of the downvote ratio… right?

Best gem
I wrote mine. It neatly centers most everything, and changes the pure white background to a grey, in attempt to make up for that black bar that was removed.

No, a GreaseMonkey script called YouTube Center Aligned.
 
Looks like there’s a similar one as well called YouTube Center. Trying that now, and it doesn’t change the bar (at least by default).

Ah, now I see what was happening (thanks in part to FurtiveFalcon’s comment). I have a YouTube Center Aligned script running, and apparently it turns the bar red/green in addition to centering the video. With the script turned off, I get the gray/green bar.

I have a YouTube extension that adds like/dislike bars to all video thumbnails around the site, and forces the primary video’s one to be red/green, regardless.
