The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Background Pony
Okay, let’s talk about how unintelligent your comment was.

“Or quotable observation done so.”

That is a sentence fragment. I suppose it’s acceptable as a response, but it doesn’t work in response to my comment. In fact, it doesn’t work as anything.

“Guaranteed pointless bitching confirmed.”
“Or quotable observation done so.”

What is the meaning of “quotable observation done so?” It’s utter nonsense. That was one of the worst possible ways to start off a criticism of someone’s intelligence.

But, allow me to break it down and give you the benefit of the doubt. “Quotable.” Hm, this could refer to either me or the original post. Let’s move on and see if further context can be gleamed before judging. “Observation.” It seems more likely you’re talking about me since I’m making an observation about the original… then again, I did quote the original, so maybe you mean the original is quotable, and the original is a set of observations from the movie. Okay, I’m going to assume “quotable observation” is referring to the original. “Done so.” Hm… Well, I said that I stopped at that point, so I would be “done” reading.

Nope, it’s just plain nonsense. There really wasn’t a point to that sentence.

“Call it bitching all you want, everyone knows that’s not a counter-argument, just an attempt to sidestep stuff.”

I never claimed to present a counter-argument, so we agree there.

What exactly am I sidestepping? An extremely long summary of a movie I already watched, peppered with opinions I’m almost guaranteed to disagree with because I don’t put as much salt into season 1 “promises” as him? If that’s the case, I made the right decision in sidestepping. I’m perfectly willing to discuss the movie on its own merits and potential lack thereof anytime, so I’m not really sidestepping anything substantial.

It might be strange to hear, but if we’re talking about episodes that somehow serve a greater purpose in the overall story of my little pony, or one that couldn’t be re-worked and have achieved the same result or lesson being told at the end, or even a justifiable episode by the standard the movie seems to be judged on from the /mlp/ reviews standards, than the entirerty of freidnship is magic series has little of these episodes. Certainly not more than 10, and out of a over 65 episode and counting series, that’s not a lot.

But I take the stance that there doesn’t need to be a justification for this, or those other episodes, and that acting like there needs to be one is pretty confusing and opens up criticism for other aspects of the show. Really just treat this like a filler episode, similar to say hearts warming eve, stare master, or over a barrel, or just another adventure for the friendship is magic cast, and not some kind of attempted magnum opus or some kind of crime that needs to justify itself in a trail, I think it would make people able to enjoy this film for what it is, instead of only focusing on what it isn’t.

You don’t find it good though, or maybe you do, hard to tell with the background pony tag. But, to each their own, everyone doesn’t need to like the episodes or movies I like in order for me to enjoy them, and I really hope you aren’t the type to think that because I like something that you don’t like, that I am wrong.

Didn’t write, just found your commentary to be less than intelligent, an actual whine from someone who has little to counter but much to disagree.

@Background Pony
I didn’t really see a drop in animation quality. It seemed pretty consistent with the rest of the movie and the series. Other than that, I agree. The script could have been better, and Flash Sentry didn’t even need to be in the movie. I don’t hate him, and I think he had some potential, but… it felt like he was there to fulfill some kind of quota or something.

It was kinda awful.

Too much awkwardness, stiff dialogue, the animation was sub-par after they went through the mirror.

I agree with everything in the review.It was a pretty bad movie.

No crap it isn’t a counter-argument. It isn’t a question either. I can go on and on about what my statement isn’t. Is there a reason you quoted me? Because you’re coming off as the person that actually wrote the post in the picture and is trying to defend himself.

@Bronitarian
The episodes are pointless? That’s one claim I had never seen before. Well, at least until this movie came out.

I gave up at “Daniel Ingrams lowest points of his career.”

Almost made my jimmies rustled and I’m glad it didn’t, because otherwise I’d need to slap a bitch for that example of unrelatable opinions.
Background Pony #5554
I won’t call it crap… It’s just not very good. Which, true, might just be personal expectation doing it’s horrible tricks, but the level of care and characters was definitely was not why I started watching the show.

“Remember back in season 1 when we were promised”

Stopped there. Guaranteed pointless bitching confirmed.

I will now note how not only do I not agree with the review, but find the accusations about a lower quality of animation and a claim that this movie somehow needed a point when 95% of all episodes in fim have no point both equally ludicrous. I don’t think I can empathize with this point of view but will take these people’s criticism over the bronies who complain about the movie but never bothered to see it themselves any day of the week.

I disagree, but will just treat it as I do when someone likes an episode I don’t like. Shrug my shoulders and say to each their own. I just hope people don’t try and shove their opinions about hating the movie everywhere or claim thst people who liked the film are somehow wrong to feel that way. Because that will be something worth wrathfully lashing out against.

Overall, fair enough.

5 out of 10 is a bit low.

The story may not have been great, but MLP was never really known for having good stories, its appeal lies in the humor and characters, which this movie has plenty of.

I’ve been one of the few unlucky enough to get dragged to this movie (My sister wanted to see it), and yeah…. It blew…

And if anyone tries to force me to see it again. full
