Description

The Horses of Sæla
The horses of Sæla have always been a puzzling topic as to their existence. The Harmonious Order proposes multiple theories as to their continued existence. It is theorized that horses are a form of origination for that of man and that they are a primeval form of life, that it was the Tree of Harmony that blessed them with intelligence and new bodies. However, their continued existence is also theorized that it is those who had committed great crimes against the Tree itself, and as a form of eternal punishment, they were reverted to a primeval state of life.
For this to have been the case, many would have had to have been condemned to such a fate as to allow many of them to propagate to their numerous numbers today. Unfortunately, it remains unknown, as these are only theories. The Two Sisters, even in their Divinity do not know, as when they were birthed thousands of years ago during the Elden Times, horses had already existed.
Horses are used as beasts of burden, transport, and of war. To this day, upon their domestication, they are used in everyday life in civilizations that can use them, and are common around Sæla.

Haven’t they considered that horses and (MLP) ponies just evolved divergently from the same ancestor species, kinda how humans and the other great apes are all very closely related?
Although, I suspect in the Sæla universe, this line of thought might be considered heretical…
