So instead of say, getting Starlight to equalise Opaline and throwing her into to depths of Tartarus, Twilight takes away everypony’s magic?
Classic Twilight. Over complicating a solution to a problem which didn’t require such dramatic or drastic measures. Only this time, not only everypony at the time suffers the consequences, ponies for generations had to deal with Twilight’s poor judgment.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Twilight was not meant to have total leadership control. Playing a role in decision making, yes. Making final decisions for an entire country, no.
More proof that Glim-Glam is best pone of G4. Change my mind.
