That is unfortunately dangerous misinformation. Condoms are exclusively for sperm, that is what they are designed to stop though could help with bacterial infections (not viruses that are 200x smaller than sperm or diseases that can easily spread around in other ways). They might help reduce risk and contact, but they are hardly preventative.
Please don’t spread this false information that has been propagated by the Vatican and other organisations with a similar agenda. Condoms, if used correctly, protect perfectly fine against all STD that spread via the exchange of bodily liquids.

Condoms prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
That is unfortunately dangerous misinformation. Condoms are exclusively for sperm, that is what they are designed to stop though could help with bacterial infections (not viruses that are 200x smaller than sperm or diseases that can easily spread around in other ways). As for the stereotype, there’s a bit of truth to it but it’s not a bad thing. Fandoms like ours provide a sense of engaging, long-term escapism (especially to the more socially reclusive) which wouldn’t be required when real life feels awesome. The weary, poor, rejected, weirdos, lost, downtrodden, outcast… we are the ones who tend to flock around fandoms [the hardest].
A guy with confidence, money, and athleticism who feels like he’s getting enough out of his sex life is [generally] not going to feel the need to escape real life by excessively playing video games, writing fanfiction, or joining up for fantasy roleplay sessions.
Not universal of course, there’s also always casuals, but there’s a logic behind the madness.

You know that are such things called contraception and there are plenty of methods (one can even combine some of them, like condoms and the pill).
The pill prevents pregnancy. Condoms prevent sexually transmitted diseases. There are good reasons for both.

I was also a considered a late-bloomer with my first time at 21. I also agree with you on the BJ thing. It was never a thing looked out for and it took me until my 30’s until my (then new, now ex) girlfriend offered it to me. She insisted on being very good at it and after my curiosity won out, I realised that BJs are really not my thing. Not every guy likes them. With that said, in my experience most girls enjoy receiving a BJs (cunnilingus), but sure not all of them.

I hope the first step Twi did in her research was to find out if her partner is even into oral at all. Because frankly, it would be very much like her to just accidentally skip that part, research the heck out of this topic and then realize she did it for naught, basically.
I remember reading an AVN where one of the characters stated ‘every guy likes blowjobs!’, as if it was a matter of fact. Which it isn’t. Because I also remember immediately going ‘well that’s bullshit’. And I rarely speak out loud when reading AVNs.
I lost my virginity when I was 19 or 20 or so, already a late bloomer back then. I can probably count on four hands how many times I had sex in my life, and I’m well past my prime now. I sometimes miss it. But I think it’s less about the physical act itself. That can be nice, sure. But the build-up? The aftercare? Gods, the cuddling. The sensory overload of touch, smell, taste. That feeling of trust and safety. That’s what I desperately miss each and every day.

Honestly 98% of what I know now about sex came from the brony fandom. Lol, I always thought that little packet girls held in their mouth was a birth control pill till Derpibooru tags suggested otherwise (still had to ask some friends to make sure).
Reached a point I can tolerate seeing positions of the deed on cartoon art so long as nudity is hidden and I can’t hear associated sounds. Oh and I can almost read through a fanfic sex scene. Still think a BJ is hella super nasty both ways. I’d rather lose a finger or two than get a BJ.
