This poor foal was abandoned by his mom.
But since we have this picute and know he’s in some sort of sanctuary we can guess it is an happy end despite the sad beginning.

I didnt think horses were mentally capable of such acts.
I have seen it happen before, the mother may kick the child every time it tries to feed.
May also just birth the child and walk away leaving it there.
Its pretty sad.
It can happen.
The mother just doesn’t have a motherly instinct or something, or she just is incapable of raising it.
Happens with most mammals. Even happens with human moms.
That’s so sad. I wanna pet him and fed him sugar cubes and carrots and stuff.
