only a year? thats quite fast to get some basic quality, time and effort will tell if you keep improving but i’m sure you will, just put the effort in drawing and learning new stuff, big things are not reach in one night, i for one i’ve been for 10 years and yet i’m still trying to improve myself. so dont worry, good things come with time and effort.

I will say, expensive tools - while helpful for efficiency - aren’t everything. 90% of the rendering I did in this was done with simple brushes, a blend tool, and an airbrush tool, along with clever use of the selection tools. Don’t ever feel like you gotta pay more to make art. Your art is very cute and you should keep it up!

Its the shading that kills me, also probably using a better painting software than sai could help, but for some reason photoshop either is too laggy or won’t use certain tools because of old driver issues. So for now, I’ll have to work with what I have and then one day improvement is possible: 3
