That’s the thing, technology isn’t possible for those yet. Even if they wanted to.
You’d be surprised. Speaking from experience, some online generators have been able to mimic some amateur styles quite well. Of course, with over-training, or too much “varied” input, the results starts to homogenize. But if you know where to look or what to use you can get that effect.

No AI has done amateur styles yet.
Its more that a lot or most AI prompters are not playing around or experimenting with “amateur” styles. All the AIbros, techbros, “ai artists” and early prompters tend to go for the “bigger” or in-vogue artists while ignoring others. That said I do think some ai prompters should experiment with lesser known or forgotten art styles.
