Well, you can’t really blame Angron all that much, and I’m pretty sure that most of the World Eaters chose to accept the nails because they wanted some way to at least attempt to bond with their gene father.

And there’s the little fact that you can’t really blame Angron for doing such things because of how the Emperor treated him.

And it is objectively poor writing to just basically make Angron be destined to just be an evil asshole when he was originally one of the most caring people in the setting.

Yeah, which I also think is pretty shitty writing as well.

I mean, yeah, I get that Big E will always care about humanity as a whole rather than overly caring for individuals, but I do think it’s incredibly stupid that the stupid writers have him flip flop between being somewhat caring and understanding at times and being a complete ahole at others.

Because I would think with how long he’s lived and how intelligent he’s supposed to be, he would know how to best to win people over and otherwise best use them for the betterment of his Imperium and all that stuff.

So it comes off as him being incredibly stupid when he choose to not help Angron, if for no other reason than those idiots on Nuceria damaged one of his incredibly valuable primarchs in such a way.

Yeah, I’m not doubting that, but that doesn’t change the fact that Angron had it far worse than pretty much all of his brothers.

And I still chalk up how the Emperor treated Angron to just completely shitty writing.

He’s supposed to be so incredibly intelligent and all, yet he handled Angron like a complete moronic asshole.

I mean, even if he was truly a completely unfeeling guy toward individuals, I would’ve thought he’d have at least been volcanically pissed off at the nobles of Nuceria for damaging one of his prized primarchs so badly. At least enough to level a city or two.

And I don’t buy into that theory that the Heresy would happen no matter what, at that just seems like an excuse some people want to make to justify their hatred of the Emperor and such. Like a total cop out.
