Description
Thanks to Harbinger O’Dawn for providing context. It’s a Polish tradition to have water fights on Easter Monday. It just happened to coincide with April Fools’ Day this year.
Oh, so Poland also got splashy holiday as well, not just Thailand, but Thailand does it mid-month and not about easter, it was considered the country’s new year before western calendar became standardized, it was about holy water for elders and parents, but as time goes on, due to more heat and technologies, splashing each other became a thing.
I learn something new every day, and Rutkotka is Polish, so it makes sense.
On Wet Monday people splash each other with water, this play is supposed bring luck to those that get wet that day
The more wet you get, the more luck it will bring you
