Especially since i betrayed you. Discord thought hopelessly. He was surprised and desperately hopeful when Twilight had came out of hiding and entered the former princesses’s palace (deteriorated and dreary with the excess of trapped Chaos magic) to negotiate his return.
It filled him with a desperate curl of impossible hope and only furthered his despair for his situation.
He gave into his feelings of desire and now he was paying the price for it.

(i have a backlog of sketches i’ll post when i feel like it, i’m like 4k words into the story that i’ll post on ao3 when it’s done.
