Description
The beautiful grey mare struck a simple pose with a smouldering expression, her lidded crimson eyes a somewhat less than subtle invitation to those that viewed them.
Rose Bug smiled warmly as she trotted around Inky Shader, she couldn’t believe that something so simple had never occurred to her- this was a lesson that she wouldn’t forget any time soon.
Turning to face her new friend, Rose had to ask, “So that’s how I get a guy to notice me, huh? Never realised it was that easy. Guess I’ve been worrying over nothing all this time.”
Inky returned a cheeky grin before answering, “There’s a lot more to it than just that, and it doesn’t only work on stallions, either- in case you’re into something else. I saw you looking at that tall and buff human guy we trotted past earlier, and don’t you deny it!”
With that, a furious blush snapped into existence upon Rose Bug’s face as she sat upon her haunches touching the tips of her forehooves together, and she replied quietly, “Y…yeah… I… I, uh really like Jason- he makes me feel like I’m a schoolfilly around my first crush- he’s handsome, and single and gentle, and dear Celestia, his accent…” Whatever Rose said after that was inaudible, and Inky couldn’t make sense of it.
“Damn, girl- you got it bad for him.” Then an expression of shocked realisation snapped into being, “He… he is your first crush, isn’t he?” asked Inky.
A simple nod was the only response to come from Rose Bug- her blush almost incandescent at this point.
“Oh Rose… as frankly adorable as you are right now, it’s obvious that you really need some help. I haven’t got anything planned for today, so come with me, and I’ll show you the ropes- I’ll teach you what I know, and I’ll help you bag that muscly beanpole. I’ll get Rarity and Fluttershy in on this as well- those two will be a massive help. Come on, Rose- your education begins today!”
Nervously getting to her hooves, Rose nodded before falling in beside Inky as they trotted away together, the blush never leaving Rose Bug’s face for a moment.
But in the back of her mind, buried beneath the blush and the nervous embarrassment, something in Rose clicked. A new chapter in her life was about to unfold.
