I point this out, because as someone who’s trying to learn a new language myself, I’d want someone to point it out to me. I mean this in a constructive and educational way…
You need to review your verb conjugations.
  • “See” is correct here, not “seen.” “Seen” is used only in the past perfect form, which you do not use here.
  • “Was” is singular, but the subject “they” is plural. Use the plural form “were” here or change the subject to a singular one like “he” or “she” and “guest.”
