You’re absolutely right. My country mercilessly slaughtered the Native Americans, and I’m ashamed of it. Even more so because most people in the US AREN’T ashamed, or just simply unaware of the scope of the slaughter. But the CSS was founded on the idea of White Superiority. White Superiority was the very reason for that “nation’s” existence.
 
I’m not saying that the Stars and Stripes and the USA are immaculate, FAAAAR from it. But the very reason for the Stars n’ Bars existence is shameful. In Germany nowadays, if someone flies a Nazi flag, they are accosted. We have no such taboo on the Rebel Flag.
