as the base, edited in photoshop, then converted to height maps in world machine, then colored in photoshop.
I originally started a while ago but never managed to make it look right, returning to it after 3 months i managed to make it prettier (which took a lot of hours of building the erosions in world machine) and then i made a quick pony 3d model and rendered
One error I’m seeing here is that the central and eastern continents need to be close enough at the north for the gap to be crossed by a bridge. In other words, the Celestial Sea should be much narrower at its northern end.

Thank you!
I did give rivers, lakes, and cities a try, but on the 8k scale that my measly 16gb of ram could handle, it didn’t work
Same problem with the topography and coloration, to simulate or paint them more accurately and realistically i needed a higher resolution…
So i’m just calling this stylized x)
This is a pretty decent job! My only complaints are the lack of rivers and lakes spread throughout the land, and that the textures don’t seem to convey the same level of topography the way a traditional map would, but I can’t realisticly expect you to get every detail about a map right in that regard, heh
