I grew up with epic stories for kids. Never Ending Story, Flight of the Navigator, The Last Unicorn, etc. Just cause its for kids, doesn’t mean it should be dumb. I’m glad modern writers are on strike right now. Only the ones will real merrit will remain.

Well, that’s unfortunately likely they’ll have their writing ability debunked by the nearing end behind second to last chapter that involves G5. Sprout’s still not really your average four leaf clover as they would’ve picture himself being today. Perhaps just one careless pony, or maybe going through the motions into giving him enough healthy isoflavones for proper treatment would cement all his flaws, either way. Nevertheless, Misty is still getting more friendship guidance than Sprout ever could. But if that’s really where you are backing up your previous claims in rather iffy regard, we’ll politely agree to disagree on that topic anyway.

Current show runners don’t really care about this current gen’s characters. What are this current gen characters hopes? Their fears? What do they want to be someday? Where’s the pony that dreams of being a Wonderbolt? Where’s the pony that wanted to start a business someday? None of the writers are building up on this. This is ironic because the only character that actually had a dream was Sprout. He wanted to be a sheriff one day.

I bet these writers have talent if they really cared but they just don’t care. No soul. Paycheck at the end of the day.

After all, Generation five is barely even considered a widespread recollection of what Generation four achieved twelve years later at this point. It doesn’t necessarily straddle that threshold compared to past pony generation, but the writers seemingly feel confident enough to elevate their writing skills and provide a cleaner slate going forward into chapters five in order to really reach the broader climax of their fifth generation with more careful storytelling emphasis. And perhaps even nullify some jarring plot holes to present their “Secrets of Starlight” mini series for chapter six. As least then, that would begin paying greater dividends towards a bigger and better story format, in spite of their analysis paralysis.

They’d be willingly able to strengthen their characterization of ponies morals if that’ll help people surmise better beyond the writers storyboard process for their televised nomenclature bound upon these smart critiques to other good-natured/family friendly animation shows anywhere else.

But what if it’s not an opinion worth discarding, but rather a reasonable analysis of the situation? ^^;
A writer can still be hired to make stories family friendly, but still make it compelling and worth one’s time. But it is a positive worth acknowledging that G5 series is getting better so far.

If there’s general reasons to learn from other animated TV shows targeted for children but with better competent writing, is that G5 really needs to strengthen their character nuances and dynamics for all of their cast. Because so far… simplifying their characters has proven to be a downgrade that cost the story’s quality.
This is a general writing craft that helps make a story matters to the audience of all ages (and even children deserve better content).
And this ain’t a fanfiction request, but rather a smart critique for the media we consume.

Well, to be more precise, they’re just plainly grinding different perspectives of their fanfiction facts to cartoon fictionality. G5 is still enjoyable, no matter where the writers ongoing direction may lead them anywhere. Another reason why they should keep it family friendly.

Nah, I think its more like G5 isn’t as good as G4. G4 was like the TF Prime of MLP. G5 after the movie is absolute baby mode. TYT is a TTG wanabe and MYM is like a Paw Patrol episode with ponies written like a David Cage game.

You guys know that in general, if people are leaving the fandom regardless of which character they’re fans with (this goes beyond Sprout fans btw), it means that there’s something wrong with how the show’s currently running, especially when fans are leaving not only because their preferences aren’t met.

Most of those who have remained in the fandom are vocal about their positivity, and that’s really good. It keeps the community alive with creativity, inspiring the G5 staff to keep improving their content for its audience. But it’s really sad that even in spaces where I’m in, outside the fandom, have a lot of G5 fans who’ve left and are persisting on withholding recommendation for others to watch MYM and TYT specifically because of how it doesn’t meet the expectations ANG left us with almost two years ago.
Because of this, I would say that many Sprout fans have left not necessarily because of Misty replacing him, but it’s primarily due to G5’s currently quality of its content being subpar, if not mediocre.

Funny cause Hasbro could’ve shoved Sprout out of the picture by providing high quality story and animation right from the get go post-ANG, and give a better story for Misty to make her even more compelling than she already is as a replacement. But that’s just not what’s happening unfortunately.

Yeah, you’re probably right, we gotta stop playing student-teacher-ratio against some random headcanon artist, and start keeping every constructive criticism level, even though we might disapprove of their current concept arts. They’re totally fine with liking Sprout, and we’re totally fine with liking Misty. So, never you worry, we have that covered. I’m certain these changes were just as painful for Hasbro, as they were for Boulder Media and Atomic Cartoons alike.

People. If you prefer Misty in the core cast that’s fine, you don’t need to like this picture. Let people have their what-ifs and headcanons. Piling up on the artist isn’t cool, even if they’re attached to a character you dislike.

Are you really stuck living in some other fantasy land/universe or something? Everybody has spoken, Misty’s the chosen friend, not Sprout. And Hasbro has already made themselves crystal clear enough. Like BP #5475 previously said before, we must avoid every differing perspective for the greater good. Because to reiterate, having different opinions weakens our unity. We couldn’t have spelled this more easily equitable. Accept your Sprout misery gracefully. Such a pity whenever someone else falls from the light.
