Again, it’s through Opaline’s perspective, and it happened at least a couple millennia ago. Memory is not a perfectly accurate account of things that happened, but can be distorted by perspective, emotions, etc. That’s all I’m getting at, is that her memory distorted to this version
It’s possible, but it still seems that instead of being interested in their friendship she was more obsessed with wanting to be better than them.
I think if the real reason was because she felt betrayed, the flashback would have shown us a scene where they were together, instead it seems like they were never friends and barely knew each other.
I could see Opaline’s memory twisting over the millennia, making her see them as responsible for her lot in life, when they were actually friends, or maybe she used them as a symbol of how she felt treated in Skyros, because she was the closest with them and so they’re the two Alicorns she remembers the best.
Or maybe opaline is being truman showed.
The flashback gives no hint that they were ever friends and Opaline was just jealous of their powers because she wanted to be the more powerful one and get all the attention.
A reason to believe that she was actually the bully here and Celestia and Luna just wanted to be left alone.

Yeah, I could see that, and Opaline just twisted it around so she was the victim - I honestly would like the dynamic if she already had a dark heart, and Celestia and Luna could sense that, so they tried to befriend her, and it worked for a while, but then they had to go and rule Equestria once they got their cutie marks, so Opaline felt betrayed again; and it’s just her jealousy and loneliness over the thousands of years that twisted her memories so
Probably in reality she was already bad as a child and it was she who bullied the two of them, contrary to what she said, for this Celestia and Luna didn’t want anything to do with her.
Celestia and Luna aren’t bullies greedy for power, unlike someone else…
