How I view different G5 ships.

I made one of these meme chart things because I can. I'll post the temple of the chart (if you want me to).

(YES I SHIP HITCH AND SPROUT LIKE IT'S MY PERSONALITY. JUDGE ME.)

OTP and NOTP are pieces of fanart (I used them as there aren't many good pictures of those ships) so if the creators don't approve of it, I'll take it down and replace the pictures.

Also, if you ship Zipp and Pipp together YOU ARE A PSYCHO!!!!

….Why is that even a ship? Hitch canonically isn’t a big fan of Sprout, especially since Sprout went against Hitch’s own orders to keep peace in the town, started fearmongering so that the residents would riot against Sunny and her friends. They understandably haven’t gotten along since then.
You just answered your own question. People love the enemies-to-lovers trope.

I have to admit, I do like that ship myself. It is the only G5 ship that I like, possibly because it involves my two favorite G5 characters. They have always had great chemistry, going back to their very first appearance together in the ‘a New Generation’ movie.

I still don’t buy that they are blood related either way, Eqg spramble. It just doesn’t make any sense narrative-wise.
I think that Pipp was adopted into the family, and that Zipp was the actual daughter of Queen Haven. Either that, or they had two different parents (which could explain why we haven’t seen Haven’s husband in the series).
One way or another, that family is fishy to me. Especially compared to G4 families (where we always got both parents-the mother and the father).

And the name thing isn’t really true ?
Sure families were called things like the “sparkle” or “apple” families, but most of those characters weren’t actually named like that ?
Twilight Velvet and Nightlight both aren’t called Sparkle in any material ?
Big Mac also hasn’t had apple in his name as far as I’m aware, same for Bright Mac and Pearbutter.
So going by that, it’d be entirely possible that Pipp and Zipp and their mom could be put under an umbrella like “the haven family” but mostly just calling them royals works for this purpose.
also blood relation vs adoption doesn’t usually change people’s opinion on incest

In regards to the Zipp and Pipp ship…
Part of me wonders if they are really biological siblings, or if one of them was either adopted into that family or Queen Haven had an affair. After all, in G4 all ponies that were related by blood shared a last name (the Pie family, the Apple family, the Sparkle family, etc). However, Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals have completely different last names. To me this suggests that they might not actually be related. Not only that, but they don’t appear to have any biological similarities to each other, outside of them both being Pegasi.
It would certainly be an interesting twist of that ended up being the case.
