I think we should try the obstacle race.
You roll a 17 (required 10). Success!
Moonflower (Race): 11
Apple Basket (Race): 20.
As you finish your juicy snack, you suggest burning off some of that energy in the Obstacle Race event on the other side of town.
Apple Basket: “Sounds like my kinda rodeo. Count me in!”
Moonflower: “Ooh, let’s do it!”
Sea Swirl: “We’ll come and cheer you on. Right, Sassy?”
Sassaflash: “Sure, lead the way!”
On your way out of the orchard, you cross paths with a small family of bat ponies who soon recognize their ungarbed Oracle.
You stop to have a quick chat with them, and learn that the Starfalls Clan have been enjoying themselves at the festival thus far — so much so that even the most skeptics have had trouble pretending otherwise. It seems that the formal invitation had been worth the effort, after all!
You and your friends arrive at the park, around which the race track presents a variety of obstacles. While the two unicorns walk over to sit in the bleachers, the rest of you take a moment to familiarize yourselves with the various challenges before joining a few other ponies at the starting line.
Announcer: “Welcome! Welcome! There’s still enough room for two more racers. We’ll start the next race in just five minutes, so get those warmups in! One more racer… aaand we’re full for this round!”
You begin to warm up alongside the other contestants, and before you know it, minutes have passed.
Announcer: “Alright, ponies! The race is about to begin. Remember: no flying, no magic! On your marks… get set… gooo‼”
As the signal is given, thundering hoofbeats begin to stampede ahead. The first obstacle arrives quickly: hay bales blocking one side of the track or another, forcing you to zig zag between them.
While some less agile ponies already begin to fall behind, others remain in front of you, skillfully avoiding each blockade by a hair, with Apple Basket quickly gaining on the lead.
Next, you jump over half a dozen hurdles, then crawl under a net, until you reach a short stack of crates. You manage to climb your way to the other side with relative ease, and catch sight of Moonflower gracefully clearing the obstacle after you without slowing down at all.
Then come a few hoops to hop through, and narrow planks to walk across over a pit of hay. In their haste, two of the racers ahead of you bump into each other and lose their balance. You pass by the pair’s squealing and laughter, then hit the ground running, feeling the competition hot on your tail.
Finally, more hay bales conclude the race as it began, then the finish line comes into view, along with the cheering crowd around it. In the end, you finish third, followed by Moonflower, and then the rest — some much father back than others, but none alone or without a smile.
Announcer: “Congratulations, everypony! That was a close one.”
With the race concluded, everyone is awarded a simple but shiny medal matching the place they came in, and while you catch your breath, you all congratulate each other on a good race.
You equip 3rd Place Medal.
Naturally, you give Apple Basket some extra praise for placing first, and playfully add that you could’ve won if you weren’t trying to enjoy the view back there.
Apple Basket: “Heh heh… well, I had fun!”
Moonflower: “Heeheehee! Me too, but now my legs are all wobbly!”

Changed the tag back from explicit to suggestive.
>>2494656 also had outlines of the balls but according to the Rating tags general thread it’s only considered suggestive. So I’m going to follow their guideline.
