I disagree, I don’t think Twilight ever lost her protagonism in FiM after she became an alicorn. Her arc always felt like the main deal in the show, despite the many different diversions to focus on the other main and secondary characters.
Tell Your Tale and Make Your Mark don’t have the most clear plots, but they’re definitely not about Sunny. And so far the comics’ plot has revolved more around Izzy.

Because Sunny is the “Applejack” of the group. If the plot isn’t making her use her alicorn powers, she’s a background pony. In most situations, she shouldn’t even be getting involved because it’s Hitch’s job.

I think it’s all pretty unfair to Sunny tbh. She was a great protagonist in the movie, but all the content post-movie doesn’t know what to do with her and would rather focus on anyone else. Izzy in the comics, Pipp in Tell Your Tale and her own podcast, arguably Zipp in MYM. I like them all in all that respective media, but I feel bad from who was MY best girl from the movie.
