I know I’m 4 months late to this but, Nick eats and smokes. Also Vadim is seen asking Nick try out drinks that can kill regular bartenders.
Considering that he’s in between the 2 and 3 gen and and what I stated above, it could be that he doesn’t need to. But is able to in partakes in biological consumption.

Edit also ammunition would cost caps and he has a assistant to pay so yeah he would probably have some caps on him realistically if the Mobsters wannabes didn’t take them.
