Actual we not know if its the same Universe or like Equestria Girls just an alternate Universe.
The Story of the Movie was mostly like the Hert Warming Story, with the 3 Tribes divided and the meeting of them, what Trigger an Event, just instead of the Heart Warming Fire against the Vendigos, its the Unity Chrystal.

I have not seen the G5 movie or anything that came after that nor will I consider watching it but it saddens me to hear that nothing remains of the Equestria that we know and love. I miss G4 so much and that overwhelming anticipation for another new episode in the middle of the series.

Izzy is the only good Char, but just because she act like Pinky Pie.

Hasbro hasn’t tell it, but there are enough Details who show us G5 is not the same World as G4.
It is similar, but Friendship is Witchcraft or Friendship is Kindness are similar too.
So far after a Movie, 2 Specials and 8 Episodes of the Show, there was nothing G4 releated, exept one stained Glass Window, one Poster and an Holomessage with an different Twilight as she should be (in the last G4 Episode she was similar big as Celestia, but in the Message she was small again) who has been ignored since it has appear.
No Celetia/Luna Symbols who would not disapear after 1111y of Reign, no known Building, no Canterlot, the “Tree of Harmony is a real tree, not made of Crystal like in the show and different Landscape.
The Intro Animation was just an Imagination of Sunny, Hitch and Sprout as Kids and we not know if anything in the Lighthouse was not mady by Argyle.
Also nothing exept the Photo was visible in the new Lasercanon Lighthouse (even the Lantern is a complete different Item).
Sure it could change over time, but even in Fallout Equestria the Places still exist.

It does look like she is sad. That’s probably how I looked when I first saw the G5 ponies.

Maybe I’m imagining it, but Twilight looks a little sad. Something about how the shadows are on her face, I don’t know.
