I’m able to easily get Netflix screenshots by going to Netflix.com in my desktop web browser and pressing Print Screen. Would you like me to get a screenshot that way?

I would but I don’t know how to rip stuff from Netflix - and taking a screencap directly from the Netflix video on my iPad doesn’t work either (it blacks out the screen in the shot); plus, even if that worked, there would be black bars on top and bottom from that method.

And I really don’t want to use the method of taking a picture of my screen.

I think it’s more a space issue, actually, as going back and checking the credits for Winter Wishday, Queen Haven, Alphabittle, and Grandma Figgy are credited by name, but Zoom, Thunder, and Onyx (Athena Karkanis, Jonathan Tan, and AJ Bridel, respectively, IIRC) are not, so I’m guessing they just give the most important parts fully named credits, space permitting, and group the rest under “additional voices”.

What makes me think even more it’s a spacing issue is how the crediting is done in TYT, with the Mane 5 on one slate right under the episode title and writer, and any other voiced parts being on an additional slate (I think they’ve only had to resort to two in the Netflix compilations), as the parts are all named there (even if the character is credited by a description, i.e. “unicorn” rather than a name).

One thing I noticed is that second slate is TYT’s version of “additional voices” while the Mane 5 are under the heading of “starring the voices of”, like the named section of MYM, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

But yeah, obviously they felt Tara’s part as Twilight was important enough to warrant adjusting this card to give her a named credit (maybe as a Toronto-born actress based out of Los Angeles, she has more pull? I dunno) - but if they tried to do the same for Kaia Oz as Seashell, Josh Graham as Sprout, or even to add Glory and Peach Fizz to Athena Karkanis’s and Bahia Watson’s (respective) credits as Opaline and Misty, that would have taken up too much room. I guess they didn’t want to add a second page, and adding a second column would not be doable with Hitch and Kenneth in their current positions.

I kinda hope they started either doing a second column or second page for additional voices in Chapter 4 (the first page/column could have the starring voice roles, and the second could be a list of named credit additional voices, with the voice director and casting credits remaining at the bottom of the page), but I’m not holding my breath.

Frankly, I’m just pleased they went back and made the corrections I described in my first comment.

I think only the important characters (Mane 5, Misty, Opaline and Sparky) get their own credits… Toronto-recorded series rarely credits VAs properly.

I don’t know when it was changed (for all I know, it could have been done when Chapter 4 was released) but I was watching Growing Pains in Japanese today (for the fun of it, and also because I’m waiting to watch Chapter 4 later today, tomorrow, and possibly Thursday), and now Tara has a credit as Twilight Sparkle.

They also fixed the spelling of Kaia Oz, and added Josh Graham’s name to the “additional voices” section (guess they didn’t want to give Sprout a named credit, haha - same with the Pippsqueaks, I suppose)

Yeah, cartoons recorded in Toronto rarely credit VAs properly. But I still like them, despite this flaw.

I think that’s because Hasbro is probably likely only going to use Twilight once in G5 and that’s it.

Besides Twilight’s story was already over at the end of fim so Hasbro has no more use for Twilight anymore.
