Description
Smolder loves her pony friends. Even so, she still has fantasies about destroying a city under her feet. One Nightmare Night, Celestia invited her to pull a big prank on Manehattan – which would double as an urban renewal project!
Reassured that everything would be okay, Smolder cut loose and embraced herself as a giant destructive monster. She took delight in the buildings crumbling between her toes, and collapsing all around her. She loved hearing the faint sounds of ponies screaming and panicking. She loved seeing skyscrapers catch fire as the electrical mains broke. Unfortunately, Spike didn’t know what was going on.
Even when Smolder tried to explain, Spike still felt his good friend had gone mad with power. Once he saw there were no notable injuries, he calmed down … and admitted that this was the greatest Nightmare Night prank in the history of Equestria! Spike had just one more question … could he be a giant monster, too?
Commission by Rai-Kun. Slightly edited by me.
She would put Godzilla in her place. In saving the city, she might cause far more destruction than that little monster was capable of. But many would be celebrating her heroism.
I have now posted it: https://derpibooru.org/images/3127758
And if so, could you post it?
I’m sure they’re fine. Like I said, some ponies are probably enjoying Smolder’s paws. :3
Yeah, you figured it out!
The pose suits the scene perfectly.
Most in Manehattan will definitely need a snuggle after Celestia’s prank.
Seize a village and give everyone there a snuggle! :3
As you probably remember – the scene where Smolder momentarily suggests that Spike could seize a village, but then she remembers ponies and dragons are supposed to be friends now.
We call It the molt effect
Ironic that you’d say that – but then you can’t have the stress of city life if the city is destroyed.
Need some time away from the stress of city life.
It really jolted me, seeing it drawn in color – and with skyscrapers catching fire as the electrical mains break. The lighting really brings out how terrifying this scene first looks.
It took awhile. But I appreciate her trollish glee.
Didn’t fully notice her until now, she certainly stands out more against the night sky.
The dramatic lighting and the collapsing buildings catching fire – it makes Smolder’s rampage look quite scary. Spike has every right to be terrified since he doesn’t know what’s going on.

No, he’s meant to be normal size, along with Celestia. I guess perspective is causing some weird optical illusions.
