I’m surprised that no one has ever brought this up. The Lion Guard (with Anga) reminds me so much of The Young 6.

Both groups are six different creatures.

The Young 6 has 4 females and 2 males, while The Lion Guard as 4 males and 2 females.

I’ve heard people say if The Young 6 ever got a spin off with the name “My Little Pony” even though there’s only ONE pony. This reminds me so much of how characters from The Lion Guard complain that Kion’s lion guard has only ONE lion.

Yeah, and I think I can imagine their counterparts~

Kion - Gallus, as he does embody the corresponding elemental magic that imbues the status of leadership and he likely had to endure some personal trials to become a leader

Fuli - Smolder, as both are incredibly competitive, impatient, and eager to get things done, and are also not afraid to put their feet down to stand up to a friend when they’re about to do some reckless or dangerous

Bunga - Silverstream, as her bubbliness and sense of adventure would pair well with Bunga’s “Zuka Zama” philosophy

Beshte - Yona, as both have incredible strength, like making new friends, and are a source of resilient strength for their friends

Ono - Ocellus, as they both have an extensive knowledge of things and have incredible insights to offer

Anga - Sandbar, as he and Anga are more like the “straight characters” who keep the unique traits of the others in check
