I can answer this for you. The comics you see “new” have actually been made for several weeks in advance. They can’t read comments from fans then change it. It’s already done. Being a Patreon supporter of the series, we get to see them well in advance or get info on the series. :)

I will wait for the conclusion of the story and the appearances after this arc on Pinkie to see if something changes, for now I will keep an eye on it.

At least I’m assuming the author read Derpibooru’s comments (or maybe more people complained about it by other means or it was just a coincidence) to have made the clarification about Pinkie’s salary.

It’s not like I always want to complain, if I’m wrong I’ll be more than happy

They have been writing good stories for everyone else. Which just makes Pinkie’s treatment up until this point that much more jarring.

All which is why I think you should wait to see what this upcoming story is before you poo poo the creators, the character, and everything else. Give it time to develop the story. They’ve been writing good stories for all the characters and now it’s probably Pinkie’s turn.

And while Pinkie is terribly flanderized and stripped of her true intentions as to why she’s so “sugary”, Lyra was given the original concept of Pinkie, wishing her friends unconditional happiness.

I mean, I fully understand that this nice little piece of work would be separated from FIM, but Pinkie has a lot that could be explored here.
Her fear that her friends don’t like her or that she will be replaced or not be there for them, many things wrap her sweet personality in the affection that she feels from her friends.

They could even involve her love life since she’s literally the only girl with a canon partner lol

Maybe they will actually write Pinkie with some depth now that there might be a conflict…

No, I think the author’s gone on record saying they don’t like Pinkie. Anyways it’s obvious to tell from the way everyone else gets actual dialogue and Pinkie is a flanderized version of a stereotype of herself. She shows up laughing and saying “Party!” once and it’s a joke. When it’s every appearance, that’s all you think she is.

I don’t think that at all. To say the Cake’s barely pay her enough to get by isn’t an unknown. I tend to think Pinkie spends all her money on party supplies and what not. So maybe she will make better choices if that is the case. I think it would be best you sit back and see where the story goes before you say the writers hate her here. They clearly want to tell a good story with her. It might also tie in with the city council raising taxes and the Cake’s having a harder time to make money. We saw the Apple’s say they were having a hard time too. Just give it some time, lol. I’m not sure about that last one, but continuity seems to very much be a thing.

In FIM it is assumed that Pinkie pays her rent by working for them.
In this world I guess they don’t even pay Pinkie enough to get by. I genuinely don’t get why the authors hate Pinkie so much lol

In fact, it could be assumed that she is the one that attracts the most profit to her establishment because she stimulates the parties in the town and who is there to give the pastry service to the parties? exact, Sugar Cube Corner.
