“Hiya, Dashie!” Pinkie Pie cheerfully greeted as she waddled into the living room of her half-ton friend, carrying along a few boxes of freshly-baked desserts. “Special delivery from Sugarcube Corner!”

“Hey, Pinkie,” Rainbow Dash uttered with a tired grunt, barely looking up to see her. With her eyes locked onto the tiny screen set on top of her massively engorged breasts, she was sweating up a storm as she tried to wave her game controllers around, only to be weighed down heavily by her lard-ladened arms.

Regardless of how exhausted she looked, it was still quite remarkable to see how well the former athlete was holding up. In spite of the fact that Rainbow now weighed over a thousand pounds, she was still somehow managing to stand on her elephantine legs. “Whatcha up to?” Pinkie wondered, tilting her head as she approached curiously.

“I’m in the middle of a match with Sunset,” Rainbow quickly said as her brow furrowed with concentration. “So can you gimme a sec?”

“Ooh! How’s it going?” Pinkie asked as she set the boxes down, hoping to hear more from her friend.

“Bad. Really, really bad,” Rainbow said dismissively. “Her character, SunnyBunns2, keeps dodging my attacks. And so the more I miss, the more stamina I end up losing! And the more stamina I end up losing, the easier it is for me to get hit!” As she continued to rant, she grew more and more agitated, losing her patience and focus as she flailed her controllers randomly about.

It didn’t take long before it finally happened.

“AW, COME ON!? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!” Getting hit with such an immense loss, Rainbow furiously raged into her earpiece mic, making sure her opponent was listening loud and clear. “That’s so not fair! How the heck did I lose to someone who’s too fat to even feed themselves?!”

Meanwhile, somewhere across town, weighing in at more than a far heftier 1,400 pounds, Sunset Shimmer was feeling quite content with her feeding tube in hand…

“Sorry RainbowCrash23, but I have my secrets,” she lazily chuckled into her own mic as she glanced over to Fluttershy, the actual player of the match. “I hardly broke a sweat over here, but you already sound pretty tired after a single match. Really letting yourself go these days, aren’t you?”

It seemed like hearing those words finally made Rainbow snap back at her so loudly, even Sunset had to wince a bit from the static sound of the clipping mic. “Hey! You’re one to talk, wideload! At least I can still stand up! You do nothing but just lay around on your big fat butt all day!”

“And yet, I can still manage to kick your big fat butt,” Sunset proudly remarked.

“Whatever! You cheated somehow! I know you did! Why don’t you just take that controller of yours and SHOVE IT UP YOUR-”

“Alight, that’s enough of that.” Cutting off her furious friend before any further damage could be done to her ear, Sunset removed her earpiece as she continued to laugh. “Good game, Fluttershy. Thanks for helping me out. My gaming thumbs aren’t exactly what they used to be,” she explained as she sluggishly raised her hand up, showing off her sausage-like fingers. “I’ve been getting pretty out of shape lately,” she breathed heavily as she brought her tube into her hungry mouth, gulping down as much of the thick liquid content as she could.

“Oh, it’s no problem at all. The game was pretty fun actually. Ignoring all the gratuitous violence, of course.” Fluttershy said with a smile before her face fell with a bit of regret. “I just hope Rainbow isn’t too angry with me. I could hear her yelling from all the way over here.”

“Oh, don’t worry about her. She doesn’t even know you’re here,” Sunset assured as she swallowed her heavy beverage. “Besides, she’s just gonna lose her cool for a bit then eat whatever she can get her hands on. Works for me all the time,” she added with a shrug before taking in another quick drink.

“Yeah, I can see that,” Fluttershy nodded awkwardly as she eyed Sunset’s tremendously obese blob of a body, getting flashbacks to her own similar experiences. “Do you know if Rainbow Dash has her own feeding tanks now?”

“Nah, I think she’s eating whatever Pinkie Pie brought her.”

Suddenly, and with a look of renewed interest, Fluttershy began to perk up a bit more. “Oh, is Pinkie there? How is she? Can I borrow your headset so I can talk to her?” Without even realizing it, she was inching closer and closer with each question she asked.

“Wait, what?” Taken back, Sunset held onto her earpiece as tight as her chubby hand could squeeze. “No. Of course you can’t. That’s the whole point. Rainbow can’t know you’re here. If you wanna talk to Pinkie, why don’t you just call her instead?”

“Oh, right. Sorry,” Fluttershy chuckled, feeling a tad embarrassed as she had no idea what came over her. “I’ll be right back then,” she said as she took out her phone and began to make her way out of the apartment.

“Well, alright then. Just don’t take too long,” Sunset called out, still a little surprised by what happened. “Can’t do this without you… literally.” Though she could barely turn her head due to her flabby neck roll, she was still able to listen for the door opening and shutting. “That was weird. Wonder what’s up with those two,” she asked herself before returning to her tube.

Back at Rainbow’s house…

Still on her feet with a box of treats now resting on her breasts, Rainbow continued grumbling angrily as she stuffed another pair of cookies into her mouth. “I’m telling you, she’s hiding something. There’s like no way she can still be that good. Her arms alone must weigh like a hundred pounds each!”

But Pinkie was hardly paying any attention to what her friend was saying. She was really more impressed by how quickly the box was being emptied. It was almost like watching one of those oddly satisfying compilations. “SO, that game must’ve taken a lot out of you, huh? How long were you two playing anyway?”

“Like a couple of minutes. It was only our first match. I’d sit down and rest, but it’s gonna take me forever to get back up,” she explained as she crammed in a few more cookies.

“Well, there’s never a bad time to refuel. Am I right, or what?” Pinkie grinned as she playfully elbowed her friend’s doughy arm.

“Yeah, I guess.” Rainbow just shrugged back in response.

“So, what do you wanna eat next? Doughnuts or cupcakes?”

Rainbow had to hastily swallow before being able to answer. “Is that all you brought? Like, obviously I’m still gonna eat it all. I mean, look at me.” She scoffed as she spread her arms out, letting her bingo-wings droop down onto her love-handles.

“Oh, yeah. I know! You’re like a big blue whale!” Pinkie wildly gestured in agreement, trying to emphasize how enormous Dash has become. “Or at least a medium-sized blue whale who loves doughnuts and cupcakes a little too much.”

“Okay, I got it.” Rainbow rolled her eyes irritably as she reached for yet another handful of cookies. “I’m just wondering why you couldn’t at least bring anything with fruits or nuts or something like that.”

“Oh, uh… let me check!” As she reached into one of the boxes of doughnuts, Pinkie grabbed a jelly-filled one and pulled it in half, revealing a bright violet goo inside. “This one has purple stuff. Purple’s a fruit,” she smiled nervously.

“Fine.” Rainbow sighed as she tossed her now-empty box to the side to make room for the next, this time filled with many various doughnuts to fill her hungry gut.

“I hope you…” Before Pinkie could even finish her sentence, and without even taking the time to admire them, Rainbow was once again packing away the tasty treats. “…like them.”

“Mm-hmm,” the hungry girl replied half-heartedly with a mouth full of fried dough.

Pinkie simply nodded back, smiling at first as she watched her friend gorging on those delectable treats. As much as she wanted to keep their conversation going, she also felt like Rainbow just wasn’t in much of a mood to talk. Pinkie didn’t mind. It wasn’t like there was much to talk about anyway.

Still, she could feel herself starting to get a bit restless. Her smile began to fade as her eyes started to wander around and dart from one part of the room to the next looking something to do, anxious for something else to keep the fun and happy mood going. Anything to keep her from feeling too much like a burden again.

Snapping out of her thoughts at the sound of her clown-horn ring-tone, Pinkie clumsily pulled out her phone to see who was making the surprise call. “Oh, it’s Fluttershy!”

She excitedly tapped on Rainbow’s bulky shoulder, hoping to share the same excitement with her. But her doughnut-stuffed friend ended up looking more confused than anything else. “What’s going on?”

“I’ll be right back. I just need to take this outside.” Choosing not to elaborate any further, Pinkie swiftly picked up the line, making her way out the front door. “Hey, Fluttershy! Oh, I’m good. Just hanging out with Rainbow Dash. She’s a little grumpy though, cause she was playing this fighting game against Sunset and lost… Wait, what? You’re where!? Ohhh, I see…”

As the door shut behind Pinkie, muffling her cheery voice, Rainbow felt like she was completely left in the dark. “Just hurry back! Gonna need another box after this one,” she shouted out, still trying to comprehend what just happened. “Huh. What was that all about?”
