2D screencap is just reversed (look at the cutie mark which is only on one side in G5)

…interesting…in both the movie and the cgi tv show her bracelet is on her left hoof, but in the 2d animated show its on her right…

I prefer Izzy’s longer make floof.

I know the real explanation as to why Izzy’s hair was cut is because it’ll be easier to animate for a TV series on a smaller budget. But for an in-universe explanation, I like to believe Pipp cut her mane for her ♥ As well as dip-dyed Izy’s hair for that purple in the tips!

She maintains her adorableness in any art style!

Seems like a pointless change since it shouldn’t effect the animation. I guess the art team was concerned about clipping issues.

i can even show you an example of this imrpovement over time, this is what the high point of tv cg was 2 decades ago

and heres that same charicter in modern cg, and yes that is cg

now you could say im cheating a bit here cause war for cybertron is a miniseries so its production quality was probly a bit higher then a straight to tv series would have been, but not by too much.

its still the case, but the gap between the two has narrowed significently as the tech has improved and become more user friendly

Her mane must have been shortened to make it easier to animate. Y’all know, different budget (and a different studio as well, but I don’t think this fact has anything to do with it). To be honest, her mane actually looks good shorter, but I think it would look a little better if the animators had slightly lengthened the other side to make it a tiny bit more symmetrical.

I’m not sure how true this is anymore, but time was CG made for movies is a lot more complex and requires a lot more render time per frame of animation. TV shows have always gone for lower detail to cut that down for quicker turn around, so any changes may have been made for the sake of producing episodes faster. It could also just be there was something troublesome about Izzy’s movie model’s mane that made it a nightmare to work with that they tried to streamline for the show.

Even Izzy’s gotta have a haircut.

I wondering why animation change between movie and make your mark
