Okay as horribly executed as Twilight’s “ascension” was I don’t think they could do anything worse than try to pretend things are the same. That’s not just bad writing it’s idiotic.

She’s also hung out with Cheerilee and is the only Mane 6 member outside Applejack to really talk to Big Macintosh. Plus she’s talked about meetings with the Mayor, organizing town study groups, organized several social gatherings, and had gotten the whole town to snap to her command on at least several occasions.
 
That doesn’t sound like a introvert to me. I think she’s a closet extrovert!

Let’s be fair. She hasn’t been an introvert or socially awkward since episode 2.
 
Once she realized she liked friendship, she was taking charge of the town and meeting ponies left and right.
